OPEN PLAY RULES & POLICY
- Each session is 2.5 hrs.4 people play on 1 court. Singles games are ONLY allowed when the courts are free and there are no players waiting.
- All Members and Non-Members must register for the open play event and check in at the front desk before entering the court.
- All open play reservations must be cancelled 4 hours before the event start time.No refunds will be issued, if the reservation is not cancelled.
- At the club, there will be stands which will be used for court queuing. A stand can only have a max of 4 rackets.If there are 4 rackets already on a stand, then place your racket in the next available stand. Each stand represents a queue. A marker tracks which hook is “next available” and will play when the next free court becomes available.
- Players waiting in queue have to wait for 1 game to be completed. At the end of 1 game, players in queue can request the players in the court to vacate the court.
- A player who wishes to be in queue for a court puts his/her racquet into one of the stands. Maximum 1 racquet in the wait queue per player. A player is absolutely not allowed to reserve a spot for another player.
- A player already playing on a court cannot be waiting in queue at the same time. In other words, a player already playing on a court cannot have a racquet in any of the boxes.
- Players are free to choose which stand they want to put their racquet in. Maximum 4 racquets per box.
- Do not arbitrarily move another player’s racquet from one stand to another without the player’s consent.
- Players who wish to play together can choose to have their racquets put into the same stand.
- When there are other players waiting, only groups that have assembled 4 players can go on to a court. It is up to the players to make sure they have four players assembled before their turn to play is up.
- A group with an incomplete four players will lose its turn until the group has assembled its four players.
- An incomplete group may ask any of the players coming off the court that the group is going on to join the group.
- Players are free to withdraw their racquet from stand. When withdrawing from a stand that has 4 racquets in it originally, the player withdrawing the racquet should work with the rest of the group to find a replacement. However, a player cannot withdraw his/her racquet from a group which is in the process of going on to a vacant court as this will render the group incomplete and prevent the group from going on the available court.
- Players needing to cancel, may withdrawal their open play registration at least 4 hours in advance to receive a refund.
- A player has the right to join any waiting stand that has 3 or fewer racquets.
- The group going onto an available court should move the “next available” marker from its stand to the next higher-numbered hooks (or back to stand 1 if at the highest numbered hook)
COURT RESERVATION RULES
- Reservations start promptly according to the time slot booked. If you are late to your reservation, the reservation will not be extended.
- Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to your reservation time. Reservation will end promptly.
- The person who makes the reservation must be present.
- Please check-in at the front desk before entering the court.
- Any cancellation must be requested 24 hours prior to the scheduled date and time.
- All court reservation pricing is for upto 5 players .No more than 5 players are allowed per court reservation.
- Please do not play on unreserved courts. We reserve the right to charge players for the full hour for any additional time used on unreserved courts.
